Selective Racking Systems

Challenges and Solutions

The Challenge:

The customer, eager to begin operations, loaded inventory onto the racks before the necessary permitting was finalized. This led to a later discovery that flue keepers were required to meet compliance standards, resulting in additional costs for retrofitting the racks.

Our Solution:

Collaborated closely with the customer to coordinate incoming inventory placement, ensuring minimal disruption to the racking installation.

While we worked proactively to manage the racking installation alongside the customer’s move-in process, this situation highlighted the importance of adhering to permitting requirements before fully utilizing the system. We provided guidance on retrofitting flue keepers to bring the racks up to code, minimizing disruption to the customer’s operations.

Outcome

Successfully completed the racking installation under challenging conditions.

Highlighted the critical importance of proper planning and permitting to avoid costly retrofits.
